It's something about the debauchery of New Orleans that just makes me feel good. I love the swampy humid atmosphere, the watered down Hurricanes on Bourbon St. and the feel of old secrets hiding in the archways of the French Quarter. A lot of people don't know that Mardi Gras is a celebration with pagan roots of drunken orgies and among other things...golden calves. But nowadays, it's more about the beads, brew, and good ol American boobies. During the day, its an event the whole family can enjoy; but with the dawn of dusk... the ultimate mix of drunkenness, shiny thingys, and the best after the club grub in any part of the country makes the N.O. one of my favs. (What do yall know about that fried shrimp salad from Bonnie & Clydes??? Oohh wee mane... scrumptious! lmao) To live and let live and eating damn good while you do it just works for me, ya know.
